Gold Lighting | Polished & Brushed Gold Light Fittings
Gold lighting covers more ground than most people expect. There are two quite different finishes — polished gold, which catches light and creates contrast, and brushed gold, which diffuses it and sits quietly in a room. They suit different spaces and different intentions, and choosing between them matters more than most finish decisions.
This page covers both. All fittings are designed and manufactured in Poland by Sollux, available as pendants, ceiling spotlights, wall lights and table lamps. Free UK delivery on orders over £60.
Polished Gold Pendant Lights & Ceiling Lights
Polished gold creates contrast. Bright, warm and reflective, it catches light from across a room and holds attention without effort. The range covers more styles than you might expect — from slim cylindrical pendants to adjustable spotlights, multi-arm chandeliers and glass globe pendants.

LOOPEZ – the core pendant and spotlight range. Cylindrical black fittings with a polished gold lower section, available as single pendants, twin and triple linear clusters, round cluster arrangements, ceiling spotlights and wall lights. Consistent form makes it easy to use multiple pieces across a space.
WINX — adjustable ceiling spotlights with contrasting gold accent rings. Available from single spots through to six-light clusters, with directional control making them well suited to kitchens and living rooms where focused light is needed alongside the finish.

LOOP – a multi-arm chandelier in polished gold. A more traditional statement piece, works well in dining rooms and hallways where the fitting itself is meant to be the focal point. 3 or 5 arm or in other finishes too.
UGO – a glass globe pendant with a polished gold canopy and stem. The softer shape contrasts with the more industrial cylindrical ranges — well suited to bedrooms and living rooms where a warmer, rounder form fits the scheme better. 20,30 & 40cm versions.

Brushed Gold Ceiling Lights & Pendants
Brushed gold is the quieter finish. A warm matt satin powder coat that integrates into a room rather than demanding attention — no fingerprint issues, none of the coldness of chrome, none of the high contrast of polished gold. Where polished gold creates a focal point, brushed gold adds warmth without making the fitting the subject of the room.
It works particularly well in kitchens, dining rooms and bedrooms where a warm metallic presence is wanted without the fitting becoming prominent. Against natural materials — wood, stone, linen — it is especially effective.

KARBON Gold – the centrepiece of this range. A distinctive corrugated cylindrical form in a consistent warm matt gold finish, available as ceiling spotlights in 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6 light configurations, wall lights, pendants, table lamps and track lighting — one of the few ranges in this collection that covers every fitting type in a single finish.

PASTELO – a slimmer, more minimal approach. A narrow cylindrical pendant available as a single light or in 2, 3, 4 and 5-drop configurations. The brushed gold finish runs the full length of the fitting, making it well suited to dining tables and kitchen islands where a less industrial look is preferred, or as shown in hallways with matching wall lights.

Polished or Brushed – Which Gold Finish for Your Room?
Polished gold suits rooms where you want the fitting to make a statement and the rest of the scheme is relatively restrained — dark cabinetry, pale walls, natural stone worktops. The contrast it creates rewards that kind of backdrop.
Brushed gold suits rooms where warmth is the goal rather than drama. It works across a wider range of colour schemes and sits more comfortably alongside wood tones, warm whites and earthy palettes. It is the more versatile finish of the two.
If you are uncertain, brushed gold is the safer starting point. If you know you want the fitting to be noticed, polished gold is the right choice.
Gold Lighting by Room
Kitchen gold lighting – both finishes work over kitchen islands and dining areas. Polished gold reads well against dark cabinetry; brushed gold suits Shaker-style and natural wood kitchens.
Bedroom gold lighting – brushed gold wall lights and pendants add warmth without the brightness of polished finishes. KARBON Gold ceiling spotlights work well as bedside directional light.
Dining room gold lighting – multi-drop pendant clusters from LOOPEZ or PASTELO above a dining table are among the most effective uses of either finish. The LOOP chandelier suits larger dining rooms where a more traditional centrepiece is wanted.
