Description
The Soraya combines a marbled ceramic disc backplate with a Holophane glass shade — the ceramic disc sits flat against the wall while the prismatic glass shade catches and refracts the light, creating a more dynamic lighting effect than a plain ceramic shade would. Inspired by the Soraya sunflower, the circular disc form is 28cm in diameter with a refined, modern industrial profile.
The Holophane glass and marbled ceramic are an unusual combination — the ceramic disc grounds the fitting in the organic material palette of the wider ceramic range, while the prismatic glass adds sparkle and light dispersion. Handmade in Mullan’s studio in Mullan Village.
Brass fittings available in antique brass, antique silver, matt black, polished brass, or satin brass.
Bulb not included. E27 fitting. Handmade in Ireland.
Mullan Delivery & Finishes
Delivery: All Mullan Lights are assembled to order and finished as requested.
Brass & Glass Lights will take 15 - 21 working days, however the factory will try and complete orders a little sooner where possible, but all orders are dealt with in strict rotation.
Ceramics each piece is handcrafted at the time of the order, so these can take 4-5 weeks depending on complexity. Again they will be supplied as quickly as possible.
Mullan Brass Light Finishes & Colours
Each light is shown with its finish options, however we can often have lights finished in a powder coat finished in one of the colours or the Chrome finish, however there maybe a charge for this and delivery will be extended by several weeks.
All brass fittings are lacquered with exception of the 'Natural Brass'. We can request they are unlacquered if you prefer.
Mullan's products are hand finished therefore each item is unique. The colours shown below are intended as an indication only and some variation is to be expected - see Below.
Many of the brass lights can also be finished in a powder coated colour finish, see below.
