The Soraya combines a marbled ceramic disc backplate with a Holophane glass shade. The ceramic disc sits flat against the wall while the prismatic glass shade catches and refracts the light, creating a more dynamic lighting effect than a plain ceramic shade would. Inspired by the Soraya sunflower. The circular disc form is 28cm in diameter with a refined, modern industrial profile.
The Holophane glass and marbled ceramic are an unusual combination. The ceramic disc grounds the fitting in the organic material palette of the wider ceramic range, while the prismatic glass adds sparkle and light dispersion. Handmade in Mullan’s studio in Mullan Village.
Brass fittings available in antique brass, antique silver, matt black, polished brass, or satin brass.
Each piece is hand-glazed and kiln-fired at Mullan’s ceramic studio in Mullan Village, Ireland, so slight variation in size, colour, and texture is normal. Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery.
