IP20 Bathroom Wall Lights
IP20 wall lights have no water protection, so they are not suitable in Zones 0, 1 or 2. Elsewhere in the bathroom, BS 7671 sets no minimum IP rating, so an IP20 wall light is permitted where it is more than 60cm beyond the bath or shower area. The zones are measured from the bath or shower, not from a basin, so a light beside a basin mirror in a larger bathroom can be outside them.
In a small bathroom, or one with poor ventilation, IP44 gives extra margin against steam, so consider our IP44 range. In a good-sized, well-ventilated bathroom, IP20 gives you more styles to choose from.
