Kitchen Ceramic Wall Lights

The ceramic wall lights here are all handmade in Mullan’s ceramic studio in Mullan Village, Ireland. Each shade is crafted individually, which means no two pieces are exactly alike — the depth of colour, the texture of the surface, and the variation in hand-painted finishes differ from piece to piece. That’s not a caveat, it’s the point.

The range covers several distinct forms. The Bog Oak and Rivale are disc-shaped — round, close-mounting, strong as a single piece or in pairs. The Osier and Sakura are cylindrical — the Sakura pairs two cylinders on one bracket for more coverage. The Coco and Nakaii have dome-shaped shades with adjustable swivels, making them practical task lights as well as decorative pieces. The Nagi has a bell-shaped shade with a rescued fire-hose strap — a material detail that reflects Mullan’s approach to considered, sustainable craft. The Tilia is a cone that directs light upward, useful where a soft ambient wash is more appropriate than direct lighting.

Across the range, ceramic finishes include Black Clay (deep, coarsely textured), Red Iron (warm rust and terracotta), Blue Earth (cool layered blues), Terracotta and White Glaze (two tones on one dome), Marbled (smooth multi-toned glaze), and Striped Matte White (neutral, subtly textured). Each finish is applied by hand — the same finish will look slightly different across individual pieces.

Most fittings use E27 bulbs; the Rivale range uses G9 (max 5W). Bulbs not included. These ceramic wall lights are made to order — the ceramic shades are individually thrown and finished by Mullan’s in-house potters, which means lead times are longer than standard Mullan fittings. Allow 4–6 weeks from order. Delivery timings are confirmed at the product level in the specifications tab.
